A Cherokee County man was arrested in Rome, Georgia over the weekend, after allegedly attacking a Piedmont woman.
According to Floyd County jail reports, Wesley DeWitt Dollar, age 32 of Centre was arrested between 3:30 and 4:00am Saturday, at a location on Chateau Drive in East Rome – where he allegedly choked the victim, causing bruising to her throat.
Dollar was charged with felony Aggravated Assault, and was being held in the Floyd County Jail without bond Saturday night.
