Two close calls Thursday, each involving a passenger vehicle and a commercial vehicle very luckily resulted in little more than shaken nerves – but no injuries.

Shortly after 5:00pm – an EC Waste truck swerved in order to avoid a collision with a car on Croft Ferry Road, crashing into a line of small trees. 

Etowah County Deputies responded to the scene.

Earlier that afternoon just after 12:30 – Alabama State Troopers responded to a report of an accident involving a dump truck and another vehicle on Highway 11 in Collinsville.

Again, no one was hurt in either mishap; both accidents remain under investigation.
