Former Floyd County Doctor Gets Probation After Pleading Guilty on Distribution of Controlled Substance Charges

A former doctor in Floyd County, Georgia – after pleading guilty to 37 counts of Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance – has been sentenced to 20 years probation.

Kevin Emory Brown was granted First Offender status and if he completes his 20 years without any criminal activity, his record will then be expunged.

As a condition of the deal, Brown must submit to drug testing and for each year he passes, a year will be taken off his probation.

He must also undergo a psychiatric assessment and not work in the medical community.
