Emergency crews were called to the scene after a vehicle was found off the road and nosed into a swamp on County Road 92 in Cedar Bluff just after 11:00 p.

m. on Thursday night.

Firefighters arrived on the scene to find a Kia Soul in a shallow portion of water with no one around the vehicle, Cedar Bluff Police and Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were called to the scene to investigate.

Due to the terrain, it took crews an extended period of time to remove the vehicle from the location.
