Piedmont Mayor Declares January 22nd through 28th as “School Choice Week”

During a relatively brief meeting of the Piedmont City Council on Tuesday, Mayor Bill Baker read a proclamation, declaring January 22nd through 28th as School Choice Week.

In other business, the city council adopted an amendment to an existing city ordinance, essentially updating verbiage concerning the ban on loud dynamic braking systems, previously referred to as “Jake brakes.”

Bills for payment were approved in the amount of $724,283.90.

The next regular Piedmont City Council Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 7th, following the work session, which is set for 5:30pm.
