Chris Paul Leaves Game After Spraining Left Thumb

Mintaha Neslihan Eroglu/Anadolu Agency/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Clippers point guard Chris Paul was forced to leave Monday night’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder after spraining his left thumb.

The injury occurred with just minutes left in the second quarter.

Despite his early exit, the Clippers went on to win, 120-98.

X-rays taken of Paul’s thumb during the game came back negative. But as Clippers coach Doc Rivers pointed out, more tests are needed to assess the injury.

“They’re going to do an MRI tomorrow, so we’ll know more,” Rivers said Monday after the game, according to ESPN.
