A half dozen people were arrested on drug charges in Cherokee County on Monday.

Aaron Whorton, 40 of Centre – charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Fleeing/Attempting to Elude, and Resisting Arrest.

Freda Nicole Davenport, age 29 of Piedmont was charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting Arrest.

Stephanie Deanne Warren, age 43 / Ronald Steven Warren, 48 / Tammy Jo Young, 46 / and Michael Ray Holcomb, 46, all of Centre – were each charged with the Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Young and Holcomb were booked into jail around 9:30am; Stephanie and Ronald Warren at around 1:30pm and Whorton and Davenport were booked in at approximately 4:30pm.

All six remain in the Cherokee County Detention Center awaiting setting of bond.
