Centre Rotary Club Teams with Cherokee County School System for Canned Food Drive

Cherokee County Career & Tech Center JAG Students

The Rotary Club of Centre recently coordinated a Canned Food Drive through the Cherokee County school system.

That effort turned out to be a tremendous success – gathering in the neighborhood of 5,500 canned food items for the Cherokee County Crisis Center – an organization that provides an invaluable service to those in our community who can use a helping hand.

The Rotary Club would like to thank all the students and faculty who took part in that drive, with special thanks going to those Cherokee County Career & Tech JAG Students in the class of Amanda Lee who went the extra mile by unloading and organizing those donations at the Crisis Center.

Centre Middle School collected the most donations during the drive which wasn’t easy with every school collecting record amounts this year.
