Two individuals were arrested on drug charges in Cherokee County Wednesday afternoon.

The first, 31 year old Joshua Scott Hardin of Gaylesville, was booked into jail at 12:09pm, on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The second arrest resulted in 19 year old Piedmont resident Colton Gregory McCurdy being booked in at 5:44pm, charged with the Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Giving False Name/Information to Law Enforcement and Revocation of Bond.

According to information on the Sheriff’s Office official website, McCurdy had been released from the Cherokee County Detention Center earlier that same day – but NOT MUCH earlier – at 3:02pm.
