Scott Clarke / ESPN Images(BOSTON) — The Boston Red Sox announced on Tuesday that they traded right-handed pitcher Clay Buchholz to the Philadelphia Phillies.
In exchange, Boston picked up minor league second baseman Josh Tobias.

Last season, Buchholz had an 8-10 record with a 4.78 ERA and 93 strikeouts. ESPN reports the 32-year-old is owed $13.5 million in 2017, the last year of his current contract.
