One DeKalb County resident managed to exhibit one of the “world’s worst examples of poor judgment” on Wednesday, when he showed up at Wills Valley Elementary School to pick up a child and was cited for DUI.
Sixty year old Clyde William Roden was waiting in line around 2:30 that afternoon – when it was noticed by School Resource Officer Curtis Massey, that he was impaired to be operating a motor vehicle.

According to the report, it was unclear what substance Roden was on.
Ft Payne Police Chief Randy Bynum said not only was it extremely unwise to be operating a vehicle under the influence – but especially so, when it could jeopardize the lives of so many children on the school grounds.
Roden was placed under arrest at the scene.
