An early morning house fire destroyed the home of a Redmond EMS employee, who was on duty at the Cave Spring EMS station when the fire occurred.
David Rogers, who was a founding member of the Gore Volunteer Fire Department, and has been involved in emergency services in Chattooga County since 1988 – was the homeowner
A passing motorist called 9-1-1 to report a “glow” coming from the residence located on the Sloppy Floyd Lake Road, at around 3:40am Monday.
The cause of that blaze has yet to be determined.
