“Suicide Squad” Gets The Honest Trailers

Clay Enos/ TM & (c) DC Comics (LOS ANGELES) — Arguably the least polarizing of all of Warner Bros.’ polarizing DC comic book-based films, Suicide Squad, overcame a reportedly troubled production and “meh” reviews from critics and fans alike, and managed to become a bonafide blockbuster.

But it’s not safe from the wiseguys at Honest Trailers

The Screen Junkies gang’s newest offering slices and dices the film, noting that strong performances from Will Smith, Margot Robbie, “and Jai Courtney of all people” weren’t enough to save the film, “that we thought would put the DC Extended Universe back on track, but instead gave us two hours of characters trying to look cool, to a soundtrack that sounded like someone scanning through a radio dial.”

The movie’s high points, the trailer jokes, can’t elevate it past its laughable script, and Cara Delevingne’s “hula hooping witch” villain The Enchantress, and Jared Leto’s “manorexic Juggalo” take on The Joker.
