According to information provided by Shane Woodham with the Cherokee County Division of the Alabama Forestry Commission, that No Burn Order across the state of Alabama DOES remain in effect in spite of recent rainfall.
Forestry Commission Offices were notified by e-mail Thursday morning (December 1st) of that decision; it was also noted in the communiqué that the situation would be re-evaluated early next week.
