A house fire in Etowah County during the early morning hours of Thanksgiving, claimed the lives of three people.
Sheriff Todd Entrekin says the fire occurred at approximately 3:00am, on Fambrough Drive in Gadsden. While on routine patrol Deputy Eric Johns witnessed the fire at the home – with the structure already being heavily engulfed in flames at that point. Sheriff Entrekin stated that the bodies of 74 year old Arthur Wayne Fambrough, 60 year old Katherine Fambrough, and 40 year old Jill Fambrough, will be transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine an exact cause of death.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Etowah County Arson Task Force, will reportedly be working together to investigate the incident.
