iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — Markets like certainty and Election Night’s result is anything but certain.
The conversion rate between the U.S. Dollar and the Mexican Peso — a bell weather for this election cycle — has dipped about 7 percent, at time of writing.
Equities markets aren’t fairing much better.
Dow futures were down about 500 points, as of about 9:45 p.m. Eastern Time.
Markets were down in Asia, with Japan’s Nikkei 225 dropping about 2.4 percent. The Hang Seng in Hong Kong was down 1.7 percent.
