Statistician Nate Silver Says Clinton Is a '2 to 1 Favorite to Win'

ABC News(NEW YORK) — Prognosticator Nate Silver, who successfully predicted the presidential winner in all 50 states in the 2012 election, told ABC’s Good Morning America Monday morning that Hillary Clinton is a “two to one favorite” to win the presidency on Tuesday.

Silver, who is the editor-in-chief of the ESPN-hosted site Fivethirtyeight.com, has risen to fame because of the accuracy of his statistical models.

He admitted that there might some truth to the theory of “shy [Donald] Trump voters,” who might not be as willing to admit their preference to pollsters, but he also pointed out that Clinton has built a superior operation to help get her voters out to the polls.

Silver’s model shows Trump with a razor thin advantage in the states of North Carolina and Florida — two states widely considered to be critical for both candidates.

Still, even with those predictions in place, the Republican nominee would fall short of the 270 needed to send him to the White House, according to his electoral map.
