The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report concerning last Thursday’s accident which killed one pedestrian and injured another, has now been released.

Toni Ann Lawson, age 52 and Kimberly Dawn Weir, age 26 both of Anniston were struck by a 2005 Chevy Aveo, as they were crossing Highway 21, about a mile south of Jacksonville, at 6:45pm.  Both victims were air-lifted to UAB Hospital, where Lawson later died; meanwhile Weir remains hospitalized.

Authorities say the driver of the Aveo remained at the scene – and the investigation into the matter is on-going.
