iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — U.S. stocks closed lower Thursday for the eigth straight session, also marking the S&P 500’s longest losing streak since the financial crisis.
The Dow dropped 28.97 (-0.16 percent) to finish at 17,930.67.
The Nasdaq lost 47.16 (-0.92 percent) to close at 5,058.41, while the S&P 500 finished at 2,088.66, down 9.28 (-0.44 percent) from its open.
Crude oil slid more than 1 percent with prices hitting over $44 a barrel.
