Mr. William Koger “W.K.” Summers, Jr.

Mr. William Koger “W.K.” Summers, Jr., age 93 of Cedar Bluff, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 A.M. at the Cedar Bluff 1st United Methodist Church with Dr. George Cobb, Rev. Tim Kendrick and Dr. Don Wright officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Bluff Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 until 7 P.M. at the Perry Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Cedar Bluff 1st United Methodist Church or the family will accept flowers.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Cobia Summers; daughters, Betty (Paul) McWhorter and Kathy Hampton of Cedar Bluff; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Summers was a native of Vincent, AL, the son of the late William Koger and Nola Ligon Summers, Sr., was a veteran of WWII and was a retired engineer with Anniston Army Depot. He was a member of the Cedar Bluff 1st United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers include Jonathan McWhorter, Josh Hampton, Jamie Hampton, Josh Summerford, Terry Hall, Myron Wilson, Dan Baker, Randy Cobia, Tom Neal, Jerry Cobia and Calvin Miller.
