Cedar Bluff, Centre and Spring Creek Firefighters were dispatched to a camper being on fire in the campground at the Weiss Lake Music Park on County Road 118 just after 1:00 Sunday afternoon.

Firefighters arrived to find the camper already heavily involved in flames, extremely dry conditions coupled with gusty winds caused the fire to spread into the grassy areas surrounding the camper eventually spreading to a bean field across the road, after battling the field fire for almost an hour a plow unit from the Alabama Forestry Commission was called in to place a fire break around the area.

At this time it is not known what started the initial fire.

Cherokee Electric crews were also called to the scene.
