It was a very light agenda for Tuesday’s Piedmont City Council meeting, in which city leaders renewed the city’s franchise agreement with Charter Communications.
The 10-year agreement, which was discussed in depth at a previous meeting, remains virtually unchanged from the previous agreement.
City leaders will allow Charter to continue to have access to the city’s right of way in order to provide its telecommunication services, in exchange for 5-percent of the company’s quarterly gross revenue.
In other business, bills for payment were approved in the amount of $359,905.79.
The next regular Piedmont City Council Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 18th, at 6 pm.
