Mr. Clifton Ray Whaley, 78, of Sand Rock, passed away Sunday October 2nd at his residence.
Funeral services will be 7 P.M. Tuesday October 4th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Michael Green officiating, burial will follow in Loveless Cemetery at 10 A.M. Wednesday October 5th. The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. Tuesday.
Pallbearers include Jack Leonard, William “Woody” Wood, Rick Gilbreath, Brian Smith, Michael Green, Justin Whaley, and Derek Smith.
Honorary Pallbearers include Jeffrey Whaley and Lamar Livingston.
Survivors include his wife Wanda Jackson Whaley; son Jeffrey Whaley of Sand Rock; daughters Vicki (Lamar) Livingston of Cedar Bluff, Shelli (Rick) Gilbreath of Sand Rock; sister Willodean Moses of Fort Payne; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Mr. Whaley was a native of Cherokee County, the son of the late William and Bertie Shellnut Whaley, and a member of McNutt Memorial United Methodist Church. He served 4 years in the Navy and later retired from Gadsden Industrial.
