Mr.  James Douglas Allen,  64, of Piedmont, passed away Thursday, Sept. 28. 2016 at Jacksonville Regional Medical Center.  He was preceded in death by his parents: James William and Velma Poole Allen; sister: Alicia Gay;  and stepson: Shane Nicholson.  He was employed with Fruit of the Loom for    35 years and then with Webb Concrete.

Survivors include his wife:  Alice Canter Allen; sons:  Doug and Randy; grandson: Brody Nicholson; brother: Anthony Allen; and sister:  Kathy (Denzil) Williams.

Funeral Services will be Sunday, October 2 at 3:00 PM at Dansby Heritage Chapel with Rev. Tommy Ballew officiating.  Visitation will be Saturday from 6-8 PM at Dansby Heritage Chapel.

Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
