The Cedar Bluff Utilities Board has fired Office Manager Marie Kelly, the action was approved during a special called meeting of the board on Thursday afternoon.

Board Chairman Cindy Early told WEIS Radio News that Kelly was terminated on the grounds of Insubordination. Details surrounding the situation were discussed during an Executive Session (in which the public and the media is not allowed) on Thursday after which the board returned and voted unanimously to terminate Kelly’s employment effective immediately.

The only other business discussed during the course of the meeting was the installation of surveillance cameras and microphones throughout the premises, that work will be done under contract with Cedar Bluff based company Surveillance Concepts.
