An Etowah County man was fatally injured in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon.
Sheriff Todd Entrekin stated 54 year old Tony Dwight Maton of Attalla died after his vehicle left the roadway and overturned, at the intersection of Cox Gap Road and Sand Valley Road, at approximately 3:20pm.

A female passenger in the vehicle was flown to a Huntsville area hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.
