It was a very legnthy agenda for the Cherokee County School Board on Tuesday – the board received for their review the June 2016 Bank Reconciliation, Cash Balance and Financial Statement in addition to a review of the accounts payable for the month of August.
Nurse Supervisor Shelly East also presented for consideration some information on a new program called Closed POD –
No action was immediately taken on the matter.
In other business, the board received revised travel expenses for Policies C-23 and G-33 as well as a revised Conflict of Interest Policy G-7 and a revised Automated External Defibrillator Policy I-54.
The board also received for review a proposed Cash Management for Federal Funds Policy D-42, a proposed Determination of Allowable Costs Policy D-43, a proposed Procurement Policy D-44 and a proposed Anaphylaxis Preparedness Policy D-58.
Also approved was the Capital Improvement Plan for 2017-2021Capital-Plan-Five-Year which can be viewed in its entirety on our website, in addition to the 2016/2017 Student Advisory Committee which includes;
Cedar Bluff – Jayla McElrath and Madison
Cherokee County High School – Kyle Burgess and Tatyana Hall
Gaylesville – Lacey Finley and Dillon Harding
Sand Rock – Savannah Blackwell and Race Clausen
Spring Garden – Hannah Rhinehart and Riley Austin
Energy Saving Budgets were approved for Cedar Bluff and Sand Rock Schools as well as Out-of -State Travel for Adam Smith and four Sand Rock FFA Students to attend the FFA National Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana October 19-22.
A contract with Dr. Remick with Pitts and Associates, Inc. was approved for behavioral evaluations and consultations for the term September 2016 – April 2017.
