Collinsville Police Arrest Man on Multiple Drug Charges

collinsvilleAccording to the information contained in a news release from Collinsville Police Chief Gary Bowen, a 52 year old Collinsville man was arrested Tuesday night on a variety of charges.

At around 9:30pm, the police department received a call reporting a possible drunk driver – Officer Scott Green quickly located the vehicle in the parking lot of the Bottle King.

The officer stopped the man for a seatbelt violation.  Julian Alan Boyles was issued a traffic citation and a citation for no proof of liability insurance.

According to reports a consent search of the vehicle turned up two small plastic bags which contained meth – along with a metal container containing marijuana, a pipe with marijuana reside inside, and a small baggie containing a white crystallized substance, along with loose marijuana, in addition to other items.

At that point Boyles was placed under arrest and charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, Illegal Possession of a Prescription Drug and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Boyles is being held in the DeKalb County Detention Center with bond set at $16.500.
