Block Party Planned For Downtown Summerville

Join Downtown Summerville for a night of music, food, drinks, and fun as Summerville Main Street concludes the 2016 Main Street Music Series with a  D.J. Dance/Block Party on Saturday, September from 7-9 p.m. The all-ages, free event will feature music by D.J. Larry Allen. The Dance/Block Party will take place on East Washington Street between Commerce Street and Economy Street. The street will close down at 5:30 p.m. for vendor set-up.

D.J. Larry Allen will begin spinning favorite dance tunes beginning at 7:00 p.m. Bar-b-que, funnel cakes, fried Oreos, popcorn, shaved ice, and cotton candy are just a few of the food items that will be available. Los Maguey Mexican Restaurant will also be on hand with drinks and food. Fun activities will also be on site. The public is encouraged to bring lawn chairs, as the street becomes a playground for all ages in this community event.
