A 19 year old Rome, Georgia resident was killed in a Saturday afternoon motorcycle crash.
According to Floyd County Police reports, another vehicle turned in front of the motorcycle on Floyd Springs Road just after 3:00pm.
Deputy Floyd County Coroner Gene Procter pronounced Colton Rood dead at 3:37pm.

The driver of the other vehicle, identified as 58 year old Tonita Jo Rudd – said she didn’t see the motorcycle; she has been charged with misdemeanor Vehicular Homicide in connection with the accident.
Since charges were filed, Rood’s body was sent to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy
