Troopers Respond to Four Auto Accidents in Cherokee County on Monday

State Troopers spent much of the day working accidents in Cherokee County on Monday.

According to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident reports – a single-vehicle accident at 4:55am on County Road 31, resulted in injuries to the driver of a 2013 Ford, identified as  33 year old Jonathan Maddox of Centre.  According to reports, that vehicle struck and broke a power pole at the location.  It appears Maddox suffered only minor injuries.

The second mishap was a two-vehicle wreck on County Road 29 at 11:10 that morning with those involved being Teara Musselman, 17 from Piedmont in a 2000 Saturn and 64 year old Centre resident Bobbie Owens, driving a 2004 Kia.  Both were listed as suffering injuries on that accident report; however, no additional information was available regarding the extent of those injuries.

Another two-vehicle accident took place at around 11:30am on County Road 8 – fortunately no one was hurt and there was another single vehicle accident occurring at 10:50 that night on County Road 71, involving a 2005 Nissan being driven by 18 year old Nahum Horton of a Gadsden address.

All four of those accidents remain under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
