A 14-year-old was killed in an accident Saturday afternoon in Glencoe.
According to Etowah County Interim Coroner Joe Horton 14 year old Seth Kirkland Young was a passenger on an ATV, a Yamaha Rhino, when the vehicle flipped.
Young was sitting on the outer side of the front seat.
There was a driver and another youth, sitting in the middle.
The accident happened about 4:30 p.m. in a field about 200 yards from the 1400 block of Green Valley Road.
Two people were injured in an ATV accident just before 10:00 p.
m. Saturday near a residence on County Road 162 in the McCord’s Crossroads Community.
The McCord’s Fire Department and Cherokee EMS responded to the scene, one of the victims was taken to a trauma center via Life Force Helicopter and the other was taken to the hospital by EMS ground units.
