According to an email from Ted Edwards with the Floyd County Public Works Department Blacks Bluff Road will be reduced to one-lane traffic beginning on August 8, 2016 at 9:00 AM until further notice.
The affected area is between # 7125 Blacks Bluff Road and Charles Arthur Avenue near Brushy Branch. All attempts will be made to have both lanes open during night-time hours but may not be possible.This lane closure is necessary in order to repair a section of road that is slipping.
Residents and commuters using Blacks Bluff Road near Brushy Branch could experience slight delays when travelling through the work area. Emergency traffic will be able to pass at all times. Work will proceed weather permitting.
