A Jacksonville man was fatally injured in a three-vehicle accident, early Monday morning, in Calhoun County. 

According to information contained in a news release, issued by Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Public Information Officer, Chuck Daniel – 30 year old Aaron Michael Anderson, was  killed when his 2001 Ford Mustang collided head-on with a Mack dump truck.

Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene; the driver of the dump truck was transported to Northeast Alabama Medical Center for treatment.

A third vehicle, a 2003 Mazda pickup, left the roadway in an attempt to avoid the first crash and as a result, overturned sending that driver to Northeast Alabama Medical for treatment as well.

The wreck took place just after 7:00am on Bynum Leatherwood Road about two miles west of Anniston.

The incident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
