The Sylvania Police Department recently seized 25 gallons of corn mash, following a search which was instigated by a report from a concerned citizen.
“Mash” is a fermented mixture of corn, sugar, water and yeast distilled to create moonshine.
Equipment used to manufacture the moonshine was also seized from the unnamed location.
Sylvania Police Chief Ross Greenwood stated that an investigation is underway, adding that more information will be released in the near future.
