Alabama State Troopers worked two separate auto accidents involving injuries in Cherokee County on Sunday; both were single-vehicle accidents.

The first was at 2:00pm on Highway 9 approximately seven miles south of Centre, involving a 2006 Toyota being driven by 45 year old Charlotte Deforest of Piedmont; the second took place at 4:25pm on Highway 278, three miles east of Piedmont involving a 1997 Honda that was being driven by 62 year old Jacksonville resident Vicki Cain.

Both drivers were listed on those reports as being hurt; however, no additional information was available and both accidents remain under investigation by state troopers.
