A single vehicle accident in Centre claimed the life of a Cherokee County man on Saturday.

According to information contained in a News Release by Cherokee County Coroner Jeremy Deaton, Dylan Scott Holder, age 30 was traveling south on County Road 19 when his vehicle overturned and left the roadway, ejecting him in the process.

Holder was pronounced dead at the scene, at 6:36am.

Members of the Cherokee County Rescue Squad, Cherokee EMS, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, the Mt. Weisner Fire Department, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, and Cherokee County Coroner responded to the scene.

The cause of that accident remains under investigation.
