Two Piedmont residents were hurt, in a two-vehicle wreck in Cherokee County, late Sunday afternoon.

According to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report, those involved were listed as 20 year old Nathanial Nichols driving a 2015 Hyundai and Terry Walker age 44 driving a 2013 Toyota.

Both drivers were noted as being injured on that report however no additional information regarding the extent of their injuries was given.

The wreck took place at 3:25pm on County Road 45.

The McCord’s Crossroads and Cave Spring Fire Departments, along with Cherokee EMS and Redmond ambulances responded to the scene.

The roadway was blocked for an extended period of time following the wreck.

That accident remains under investigation by state troopers.
