An Alex City, Alabama man was fatally injured early Tuesday evening in a collision between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer on I-59.
The victim identified as 50 year old Travis Moore was a passenger in a 1999 GMC driven by 18 year old Kaelin Moore of Hixson, Tennessee; their vehicle collided with a 2010 Peterbilt, being driven by 50 year old Alejandro Alvarez from El Paso, Texas, about five miles south of Collinsville at 6:40pm. Moore was also injured, but no additional information was available regarding the extent of her injuries.
The cause of that accident remains under investigation by state troopers.
