Elderly Anniston Woman Dies in Two-Vehicle Collision

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report on a fatal wreck, occurring Tuesday just outside of Anniston, has now been released.

According to the report 88 year old Dorothy Ogletree Detwiler was fatally injured in a crash between her vehicle a 1999 Buick Century and a 2001 Ford Ranger being driven by 44 year old Jeremy Ray Jeffers.

That accident took place around 5:15 that afternoon on Choccolocco Road.

Detwiler was taken to UAB Hospital, where she died from injuries sustained in that wreck – Jeffers was transported to Regional Medical Center in Anniston for treatment of unspecified injuries.

That accident remains under investigation by state troopers.
