The Alabama Department of Transportation advises motorists that Good Hope Contracting Company is beginning paving and resurfacing work today (June 7th) – on the $1.3 million project covering more than five miles of U.S. 411 (Alabama 25) in Cherokee County, from just south of the Alabama 283 intersection to just east of Cherokee County 161.

Traffic will be reduced from two lanes to one during work hours – generally from 6:30am to 6:30pm – during the next two to three weeks.

Flaggers and a pilot car will be used.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes or expect delays.
