According to information contained in a news release from Seth Burkett, with the Alabama Department of Transportation (North Region Information Specialist) “Expect Delays Due to Paving on Alabama 68”

The Alabama Department of Transportation advises motorists that maintenance crews will be paving in the area of the recent slide repair on Alabama 68 – between Leesburg and Sand Rock – in Cherokee County, beginning Monday, May 16th.

Single-lane closures will be in place and traffic will be flagged through the work zone.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and should plan accordingly.
