Gaylesville, Cedar Bluff and Broomtown Fire Departments responded to the scene of a fire at a residence on College Street in Gaylesville just before 4:00 Thursday afternoon.
The home was located only a few hundred feet from the Gaylesville Fire Station which allowed for a quick response by Gaylesville Firefighters, apparently a dryer had caught fire which caused a great deal of smoke to fill the house.
The occupants of the home were able to safely get out and called 911, no injuries were reported.
