Cedar Bluff Resident Dies From Injuries Sustained in Motorcycle Crash

The motorcyclist involved in a weekend accident in Cherokee County has passed away.

County Coroner Jeremy Deaton said that Cedar Bluff resident Robert Fields age 53, has died as the result of injuries that he sustained in a motorcycle crash, occurring Saturday evening on County Road 144.

That call came in at 7:42pm with the victim being taken from the scene by Cherokee EMS to a landing zone at the football field at Cedar Bluff School – and from there he was air-lifted to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.

According to Coroner Deaton – Fields finally succumbed to his injuries at 10:16 Wednesday morning (May 11th).

That accident remains under investigation by Cherokee County Coroner Jeremy Deaton and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
