A man was fatally injured in a four-wheeler accident on Saturday afternoon in Gadsden.
The 55 year old victim, Thomas Evan Moore was riding in a pasture around 4:30pm about a mile-and-a-half from the 3700 block of California Avenue, when the accident occurred.
According to reports, two friends riding their own four-wheelers saw Moore’s four-wheeler hit a pot hole causing it to bounce up and throw him off in the process; the ATV then landed on top of Moore, causing fatal injuries.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by Etowah County Coroner Michael Head.
Moore was reportedly not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
