A Jacksonville resident was fatally injured in a two-vehicle collision in Calhoun County over the weekend.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report the wreck took place at around 5:30 on Saturday afternoon on Alabama 204, about seven miles west of Jacksonville and involved a 2006 Honda CR-V being driven by Suzanne Spiceland Michelson and a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 40 year old Christopher Sean Austin of Glencoe.
Michelson was pronounced dead at the scene; Austin was taken to Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The cause of that accident remains under investigation.
