One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 9, around three miles outside of Centre on Sunday morning.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report that wreck occurred at 8:30am, and involved a 2000 Ford driven by Donnie Downey, age 57 of Centre, and another 2000 Ford, being driven by 37 year old Randall Gaddy of Piedmont.

Gaddy escaped injury, however Downey was listed on the report as having been  hurt in the mishap, although no additional information was noted, other than Downey was wearing his seat belt at the time.

The cause of that accident remains under investigation by state troopers.
