Centre Narcotics Officers Will Clark and Matt Peek along with Leesburg Officer Joe Johnson have been working together on a joint investigation into two individuals who have been distributing heroin and methamphetamine in the Centre and Leesburg area.
On Sunday Officers Clark and Peek spotted the suspect’s vehicle behind the Coosa Corner service station in Leesburg, when officers attempted to make contact with the two suspects the male suspect became combative.
Both were quickly detained, upon searching the individuals and the vehicle, Narcotics Officers discovered a quantity of heroin, methamphetamine and marijuana along with other drug paraphernalia.
28 year old Bobby Ray Parks was charged with the Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances (Heroin), Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (Meth), Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree, Conspiracy to Commit a Controlled Substance Crime, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting Arrest, 25 year old Teaira Nicole Ferrell was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting Arrest.
Parks and Ferrell remain in the Cherokee County Detention Center, Ferrell is being held on a $2,500 bond while Parks is being held without bond.
