Mr. Ira Michael “Mike” Blackwell age 60 of Centre passed away Tuesday March 29th at his residence.
Memorial service will be 2 PM Friday April 1st at First Baptist Church of Centre with Rev. Eddie Nation and Rev. Garry Tanner officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 PM at the church.
Survivors include wife, Cheryl Ann Fuqua Blackwell of Centre; daughters, Penny Blackwell of Africa, Amy Blackwell of Atlanta, Ga., Paige Blackwell of Villa Rica, Ga., Autumn Blackwell of Hiram, Ga. and Kayleigh Hand of Centre;son, McKane Blackwell of Centre; brother, Claude Blackwell of Hokes Bluff; sister, Myra Sanchez of Hollywood, Ga.; grandchildren, Owen Grega, Ellis Bean Grega, Ashtian Barnett, Tristen Kittredge and Michael Blackwell; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Blackwell was preceded in death by his daughter, Lori Blackwell and sister, Mary Blackwell.
Mr. Blackwell was a native of Gadsden and the son of the late Ira C. and Bessie Marie Benefield Blackwell and a member of First Baptist Church of Centre.
