The Cherokee County Warriors Repeat as County Champs

County Champs 100The Cherokee County Warriors Varsity Team jumped out to an early lead Saturday – as they worked their way toward a 14 to 2 victory over Cedar Bluff and a total of nine runs over the first three innings allowed the Warriors to put the game away early.

An RBI single by Jaren Lockridge, a groundout by Colin Brewer, the sacrifice fly by Bronson Chandler and a two-run homer by Caleb Ransum during the first inning, along with a three-run double by Colin Brewer, and a wild pitch in the second inning fueled Cherokee County’s offense early.

Ransum racked up two RBI’s on one hit for the Warriors.

Chandler got the win for Cherokee County, allowing only one run over four innings.

He struck out four, walked one and gave up four hits while the Warriors repeated as County Champs.

Meanwhile the Gaylesville Team laid claim to the title of JV Champs.
